Artist Statement
My final major project is based around the lack of diversity within the fashion industry. I wanted to create a group of images that show that there is beauty within diversity. Bringing awareness to individuals being beautiful in their own right and not having to compare themselves to the ridiculous standards that the fashion industry portrays.
In diversity there is beauty and there is strength.
I really enjoyed creating the looks for this project and although I had to adapt the looks for me to be able to model. I found it interesting choosing hair, makeup and clothing that I think would suite different skin tones/individuals.
So proud of Elise! Lovely to see her begin to realise how awesome her skills are.
